Developing the Positive Power of Youth
I just wanted to share with you this photo I found on the University's Facebook Page! On Saturday, in addition to receiving my Bachelors Degree of Science in Business Administration, I received a special award from the President of the University. Out of my entire class (850 undergraduates), I was chosen to receive the President's Second Mile Award!
The President’s Second Mile Award was established to encourage and give recognition to outstanding leadership and participation in student affairs. It is intended that this award will go to that member of the graduating class who made the most outstanding contribution to the campus community during his or her undergraduate days. “Going the Second Mile,” means to do more in any given task or activity than can be reasonably expected.
Also, I wanted to inform you of my plans moving forward! Last week I received a call from the White House about about vacancy positions within the administration. Next Tuesday I will in DC interviewing with a director in the Presidential Personnel Office! I'm soooo excited! In addition, I have applied and feel really confident that I will get accepted into Pepperdine University's School of Public Policy for their Masters in Public Administration Program.
I can't wait to catch up with you all! Once I obtain more photos I'll be sure to share them with you!
