Thank you to all who supported our dinner honoring Gene Upshaw

November 15, 2008: The Super Leaders Board of Directors, the staff, and the Upshaw family would like to thank you for helping to make the dinner "Celebrating the Life of Gene Upshaw" a great success. We appreciate you spending the special evening with us. For over 23 years Gene supported the goals and mission of Super Leaders, teaching and training young leaders for today and tomorrow at the middle and high school level. History has shown us that if we give our youth the tools and show them how to use those tools they can make a difference in their lives and those around them for the better. Your generous contributions and presence will allow us to continue that mission. We were able to raise more than $35,000.00 for the program.

Founder and Chairman Brig Owens receives Honorary Doctorate from the University of Cincinnati

June 24, 2008: Super Leaders Founder and Chairman Brig Owens was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters at the University of Cincinnati's Commencement Ceremony Saturday, June 14, 2008.  The honorary degree represents the highest award given by the University of Cincinnati.

Super Leaders Students Travel to Beijing for International Study 

June 20 2008: Super Leaders proudly announces that Anacostia Senior High School Super Leaders students Juanique McNeil and Joseph Boone will participate in the DCPS International Study program.  Juanique and Joseph will travel to Beijing, China from June 30-August 1, 2008.
